Let’s ‘Go Bananas for Fairtrade’!

I really admire the work the Fairtrade Foundation do. I’m part of a Fairtrade church and hope to help my town attain Fairtrade status too. This video is an eye-opener to say the least! I hope it helps you (as well as me) to think about how we can stick with Foncho and help more bananas be fairly traded. Someone recently said to me that Fairtrade isn’t actually fair because it costs more. I couldn’t believe my ears! I wonder if they’ve ever thought that whilst cheap products are tempting, they can actually help keep the people who produce them in poverty. I know not everyone can afford Fairtrade products, but for those who can I think it’s good to do so, because it all helps people whose shoes we wouldn’t want to be in.
