This is such a beautiful film, so true to the book in many ways and the 3D effects were truly amazing.
Pi’s journey is an inspirational journey, one where his faith plays a big part in overcoming massive obstacles. He was very hungry for God and as a child embraced Hinduism, Christianity and Islam.
A charity called Damaris (www.damaris.org) have produced a great resource on Life of Pi which I used yesterday with a couple of different groups about what faith means to them and a whole variety of different answers emerged.
So: What does faith mean to you? How sure do we need to be of something to believe in it? What are you willing to do for the things you believe in? What do you believe in? And is it possible to go through life without faith? Feel free to respond with your thoughts on any of the above.
