Coffee Time

wpid-IMAG0125.jpgRecently I was given this coffee maker. That’s right-given. This is awesome news as I love my coffee! Wow.

Last week I visited a mosque and told a friendly Muslim man that I liked his hat. Next thing I knew he gave me it and wouldn’t hear of having it back! Wow.

When someone gives me something, whether it’s an item like those above, or their time or something else, I am not likely to forget it any time soon, because to give can be costly. I don’t just mean financially but sentimentally and emotionally too, depending on what is given.

The sacrifice Jesus made to give us a new start and help us have a real relationship with God cost him his life. That’s a gift that cost him all he had, yet is free to all who ask. We can all ask him for this gift if we want to. Wow!
